When I was a child
I was taught to not fill the plate
with food I’ll not eat:
it’s an insult to the people who in the plate
have only the hunger
when I was a child
I was taught to not give orders to other people
if no one allowed me to be a boss
when I was a child
I was taught to ask people I’m sharing my time with
if what I want to do
is also what they want to do
when I was a child
I was taught to not leave the table
before everyone has finished to eat
now that unfortunately
I’m not a child anymore
I’ve realized that also some adults
also a teacher
even a headteacher
have so much to learn
from children
